This post has to start with the fabric: a bourette silk double lacoste knit.
BOURETTE SILK: a coarse silk yarn spun from the waste that is produced in the manufacture of schappe silk; also produced from waste silk that is not suitable for spinning into schappe silk. The yarn is lumpy, irregular and possesses low elongation.
DOUBLE LACOSTE : a plain double knit construction based on interlock that repeats on six courses with every third row consisting in only knit stitches.
