::::I made the top base pattern for myself last year. The first version was cropped at the waist and it was meant to be paired with my linen Burda Michelle skirt. It had potential so I made several more versions, had it proofed and graded, then finally I developed it into a home sewing pattern that some lovely ladies even tested. Unfortunately, it was ready for release only late September when a sleeveless piece was starting to loose its appeal. The delay can be explained by the limited amount of time I could dedicate to it and also by the fact that I prefer to rely on professional help for proofing and grading. When I say professional, I mean done by people that have been doing just that at least forty hours a week for several years, wonderful people I got to meet while doing a stage at a fashion technical service company. With the cold weather approaching I chose to file the pattern but did not forget about it. As a matter of fact I got to sketching some variations. This is one of them and I must say I quite like how the peplum looks with the full skirt.::Ho disegnato il modello base di questo top l’anno scorso per indossarlo con la gonna Michelle di Burda. La prima versione era tagliata a livello vita e l’ho portata tantissimo. Ho cucito qualche altra versione e quindi ho deciso di fare sviluppare le taglie e scrivere le istruzioni per il confezionamento. Il modello è stato persino testato. Sfortunatamente il tutto fu pronto per essere pubblicato solo verso la fine di settembre quando un modello senza maniche era fuori stagione. Tutto questo può essere spiegato dal poco tempo che sono stata in grado di dedicarle è dal fatto che preferisco affidare a professionisti lo sviluppo delle taglie e i controlli sul modello. Quando dico professionisti, intendo gente che fa questo per le quaranta ore settimanali da anni, gente meravigliosa che ho conosciuto facendo un breve stage presso uno studio tecnico di progettazione e sviluppo abbigliamento. Con la fine della bella stagione ho chiuso il modello in un cassetto ma non l’ho dimenticato. Ho disegnato alcune varianti. Questa è una di quelle e devo dire che mi piace come sta il peplum con la gonna ampia.::::

:::: I used a grey pique-textured scuba knit that allowed me to leave a raw edge hem. The trim is coated lycra.:: Ho usato un tessuto grigio a maglia scuba piqué. I profili sono in misto cotone lycra spalmato.::::

::::As you may have already guessed I am developing the original pattern into a multi garment pattern and I am hoping it will be ready for release well before September this time.::Come penso abbiate gia indovinato sto sviluppando il modello originale in un cartamodello a varianti multiple. Spero sta volta di finirlo ben prima di settembre.::::

::::The skirt I draped last month and it’s going trough development as well. This version is sewn in ramie cloth lined with cotton. It’s featherlight and floaty and a rather peculiar design.::Ho drappeggiato la gonna il mese scorso e anche questo modello sta entrando in sviluppo. Questa versione è cucita in tela di ramie foderata cotone. È leggerissima e ha un bellissimo movimento e un design particolare.::::

::::I know from the pictures you cannot see what makes it different and right now I am not going to tell you either - it still has a long way to go before becoming a viable pattern.::So che dalle imagini non si riesce a vedere cos’è che rende il design di questa gonna così particolare e neanche ve lo dirò adesso - ha ancora una lunga strada da fare prima di diventare un cartamodello a tutti gli effetti.::::
